It’s here folks, the one you have been waiting for – the New Developments III Call for Auditions….
The Auditions are scheduled for the 3rd and 4th of January 2012, 7.30 – 9.30pm at the Multi-Function Rooms of Golf Tower 2, The Greens, Dubai.
For those of you have had the opportuinity to be involved in previous years, we won’t need to remind you how much fun these New Developments productions are. If this would be your first New Developments show, you should be encouraged by the fact that for many of our members this was thier first introduction to Dubai Drama Group and indeed the world of theatre.
As usual this is going to be a huge production, with aproximately 40 members involved. So if you are interested in acting, props, backstage, front of house, technical team or and other aspect of the production we will have a place for you in the team.
We will be posting more details, including character descriptions, over the coming weeks, so be sure to check back here for details. For now, save the date in your diary…

Is the audition open for other nationalities? I am a Filipino and have been acting and teaching musical workshops for children here in the Philippines and will soon be visiting Dubai to be with my mom.
I am also planning to teach musical workshops in the schools in Al Ain where my mom is working.How about that? Is it possible?Do I need any permit to be able to start? Can you please give me a piece of advice on how to go for it? I just don’t want to be idle in my stay there in the UAE.Please I need your reply.

Sure it is open to all nationalities, and in fact we have many Filipino members. We will be posting some more info on how the auditions will work so keep an eye on the site.
